First, WELCOME to the board. Your car is beautiful. RHD is kick-ass... and you should not have any problems with the install other than this one that you speak of... or at least nothing really serious.
Almost all "B" series engines from the JDM market have SOHC style alternators... which means that the center shaft diameter is smaller than those found on the USDM "B" series alternators. Obviously, what you will discover is that when you place the new double grooved alternator pulley over your alternator shaft... it will NOT fit snugly because the hole in the middle of the pulley is LARGER than your alternator shaft.
I created a special insert for my Boost Stepper pulleys to solve this issue. You would simply push the insert into the pulley first and then slide both parts together on to your alternator shaft. I see no reason why you could not use the MVM insert with a stock JR alternator pulley...
... or better yet, buy a MVM boost upgrade pulley and use it instead of your current boost upgrade !!!
HAHAHAHAHA
Sorry, got carried away promoting my own product...

What "Boost Controller" do you have ??? If it is the JR BTC, it is simply a Timing Retard Controller that is boost sensitive... so it would NOT change your boost level at all.
